The H Mount is mounted non-destructively to the Hasselblad camera's nameplate by means of a spring-loaded tab. The part of the H Mount that comes into contact with the nameplate is made of plastic, thus avoiding the possibility of scratching the camera. The base is made of metal for extra durability.
